Karma Machining and Manufacturing
David was born in Toronto, but once he was old enough to realize his mistake, moved his family West to Edmonton, where he has remained for most of his life. He’s enjoyed a career spanning 30 years of the product life cycle, from applied research, product design and development, manufacturing, and destruction with service in the air force.
David has Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. After his military service, he worked with manufacturers of windows and curtain walls, water treatment equipment, and downhole pumps. He also spent a few years in education, teaching at NAIT and the University of Alberta.
In 2007, he started Caprica Consulting, specializing in manufacturing and productivity improvement. In 2011, deciding he should put his money where his mouth was, he bought half of Karma Machining and Manufacturing, a full-service contract manufacturer helping innovators realize their dreams, from prototype to production.
